MARIETTA - Van Buren Whiteley, 83, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born August 11, 1937, in Milam County, Texas, to Martin and Jewel Eddleman Whiteley. He was a fork lift operator for Daybrite Lighting and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Services will be private.  McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie assisted the family with arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Reynolds Whiteley; and a host of other family members.
