FULTON – Minnie Sue Pierce Reese Jones, 89, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her residence. She was born October 10, 1935, in Itawamba County to Garvin Smith Pierce and Jesker Spencer Pierce. She married her high school sweetheart, James Roy Reese, and together they were blessed with three children, Brock Reese, Jamie Long (Larry), and Amy Hayes (Larry). After James's death, she married Tommy Jones of Mantachie and was blessed with three step children, Pam McMillen (Rickie), Cindy Parks (Rick), and David Jones (Melinda).

Sue was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church. She always said her favorite room in the home was the kitchen where she enjoyed preparing countless meals and entertaining family, friends, and visiting preachers. She lived out her life as the Proverbs 31 woman and looked to the Lord for guidance in her daily living.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Rush Holcomb and Bro. Jake Steele officiating. Burial will be in the Harden's Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include her three children, three step children, her grandchildren and step grandchildren, Ryan Reese (Carson), Kristen Bryant (Nick), Lauren Long, Jon Long (Miranda), Hannah Thomas (Ben), Sam Long, Joe Long, Ashley Campbell (Justin), Heather Martin (Bobby), Molly Taylor (Matt), Lilly Hardin (Les), Chris Senter (Courtney), Ricky Parks, and Matthew Jones; and her great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, Bennett, Hudson, Spencer, Connor, Walker, Reese, Holden, Trace, Finley, Harper, Lucy, Hudson, Jude, Mia, Annie, Lydia, and Christopher.

She is also survived by her sisters, Nell Wilemon, Carolyn Perry, and Lynda Sparks (Gerald); her brothers-in-law, Jerry Reese (Glenda), Steve Reese (Gail), David Reese (Dianne), Terry Jones (Felicia), and Donny Jones; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Pierce, Patty Jo Stevens (Bobby), Sherrill Clark, Trisha Spaeth (Bernie), and Rhonda Brumley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her brother, Frank "Skeeter" Pierce; brothers-in-law, James Wilemon, Bobby Reedy, Therman George, Sammy Jones (Betty), and Jimmy Jones (Wanda Dell); a sister-in-law, Peggy Kent (Gerald); and a step granddaughter, Rosie Johnston.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Reese, Jon Long, Sam Long, Joe Long, Justin Campbell, and Bobby Martin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sue may be given to help with the start of a new church plant, Grace Bible Church, 5525 MS Hwy 178, Fulton, MS  38843, or to the Gideons International.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
