Shirley Houston Baldwin, age 81, passed away on May 23, 2022, in Florence, MS. Shirley is survived by her husband Don Baldwin of Byram, MS, her son Gary Baldwin (Tracy) of Clinton, MS, Mark Baldwin (Kimberly) of Cottontown, TN and her sister Sharon Dake (Charles) of Medina, MN.   She had eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her son Terry Baldwin in 1960 .

Shirley was born in Tremont, MS on October 31st, 1940, to parents TJ and Zereda Johnson Houston. She graduated high school from Zion Benton High in Zion, Illinois in 1958.  She married her husband Don in August of the same year.

Shirley was passionate about family, her gardens and her love for Christ.  She was active in her church, loved gospel music and spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed tea parties with her granddaughters and sporting events with her sons and grandsons.  She loved the holidays and cooking for the entire family. Shirley was deeply loved by many friends and family, and she enjoyed spending time with her aunts, uncles and cousins.  Her career was in sales and administration with several companies over her working life.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday May 27th at Sandy Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Fulton, MS. at 10:00 am with a small graveside service following at Sandy Springs Cemetery.  Visitation with family and friends will be on Thursday night from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the McNeece Morris Funeral Home at 401 S Cummings St, Fulton, MS 38843.
