Ruby Lee Posey, 82, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. She was born November 27, 1942, in Tennessee, to Bilbo and Anna Faye Carr Buse. She graduated from Saltillo High School and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She retired from North Mississippi Medical Center in 2006, where she worked many years in the food nutrition department. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, her flowers, and she loved cooking for everyone. She baked many cakes for people.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Guyton Hinds officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Robert Roy Posey; two sons, Robert R. Posey, Jr. (Penny) and Timothy L. Posey (Stephanie); five grandchildren, Brianna Posey, Zoe Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Jaren Johnson (Mia), and Brenden Johnson (Jaydee); one great grandchild, Kenneth Shane Johnson; one sister, Billy Myhand ; four half- brothers, Joe Buse (Sheila), Pete Buse (Christy), Otis Buse, Bobby Buse ( Joe); one half-sister, Carolyn barber (Ronnie); two nieces, Becky Coggins and Rita Bennett.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Faye Coggins; one brother-in-law, Edward Myhand; one niece, Gayle Pitts; her stepmother, Alice Buse; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be John Boy McFerrin, Tracy Rogers, Jed Moore, Terry Johnson, David Nichols, and Drew Kyle.

Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until service time at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
