Ruby Jewel Dillard, 79, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at her home. She was born March 5, 1947, to Lesley and Helen Boyd Brown. She graduated from Shannon High School. She worked as a supervisor at Day-Brite Lighting, before retiring after 47 years of service. After being retired for a year, she went to work at Total Home Healthcare for four years. She enjoyed reading her Bible, going camping, being outdoors, and watching her many humming birds.

Services will be private and held at a later date. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Cooper and Ronald Cooper, both of Mantachie; four grandchildren, Mikaila Cooper, Amber Cooper, Drake Cooper, and Cody Cooper; four great grandchildren, Brantley Snow, Joseph Cooper, Clara Paige, and Kash Thompson; one sister, Diane Nobles.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Brown; three sisters, Faye Watson, Louise Smith, and Margaret Dykes; and her parents.
