Robert Leon Gosa, 85, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, after s short illness. He was born October 28, 1938, in Aberdeen, to Ira and Verbie Allen Gosa. He attended Itawamba Junior College on a football and basketball scholarship, where he met his wife of 54 years, Mary Joe Sheffield. He was a retired business owner.

Services will be private.

Survivors include one son, Robert Kirk Gosa (Melinda) of Mooreville; one daughter, Tami Gosa Hunt (Jeff) of Birmingham, AL; the mother of his children, Mary Joe Sheffield Gosa of Fulton; one grandchild, Reid Hunt of Austin, TX; one brother, Coy Gosa (Avis), and one sister, Ethel Gosa Roebuck, both of Aberdeen; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Gosa and his mother, Verbie Grant.

The family wished to thank Rest Haven Health and Rehabilitation for the care given to their father the last four years.
