Jimmy Ricky Windham, 73, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home after an extended illness. He was born June 25, 1951, in Booneville, to Jimmy Edwin and Nellie Catherine Michael Windham. In his earlier years, he worked at Dobbs Ford in Memphis as their body shop manager. In 1991, he started Yard Man Mowing and Lawn Service where he developed friendships that lasted a lifetime. He enjoyed working and especially enjoyed working with his son in the business. He loved sitting on his back porch and being outdoors. He was a devoted husband and father, loved his community he lived in, and was a people person who never met a stranger. He especially enjoyed talking with his family and friends, and his little buddy, Tucker.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. David "ET" Turner and Bro. Kelly Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will be in the Center Star Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Windham; three sons, Tyler Reed Windham (Morgan) and Jimmy Ricky Windham II (Sydney), both of Mantachie, and Wesley Durand Windham (Felicia) of Thrasher; two brothers, Randy Windham (Chris) of London, KY., and Reggie Windham (Bonnie) of Butler, KY; two grandchildren, Albanie Windham (Luke) and Allie Windham.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Larry Michael, Timmy "Red" Spradlin, Frankie Lindsey, Randy Lindsey, Matthew Prestage, Dan Walton, Brad Underwood, and Ike Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Del-Mar's crew girls; Randy Massey, William Taylor, Matthew "Little Brian" Johnson, Brian Johnson, and Dillan Holley.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
