Obituary

Malcolm Ralph Oglesby, 80, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born January 28, 1943, to Jody and Lillie Kyle Oglesby. He worked at Itawamba Die Cutting and was recently retired from Wal-Mart, where he worked in maintenance. He was an ordained Baptist minister and was a longtime associate pastor at Gospel Truth Church. He was currently a member of the Hardens Chapel Methodist Church, where he sang and preached. He enjoyed working in the yard, playing the guitar and singing, and his two cats. He especially enjoyed fishing and was an avid conversationalist.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Reverend Darrell Sanderson officiating. Bro. Melvin Presley will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in the Hardens Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Oglesby; two daughters, Carol Woodward (Jason) and Kathy Oglesby; two grandsons, Jay Woodward and Peyton Woodward, all of Fulton; two sisters-in-law, Lou Ann Gordon and Michelle Halcome; a special niece, Marie Bowling.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Jason Woodward, Jay Woodward, Peyton Woodward, James Payne, Justin Murphy, and Michael Bowling.

Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until service time at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
