Obituary

Patty Buse, 84, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Mantachie. She was born April 12, 1942, in Marietta, to Sidney Kiley Holley and Evie Clifton Hughes Holley. She was an active member of the Centerville Baptist Church, where she played the piano and taught children’s Sunday School for many years, until she wasn’t able. She was retired from the Mantachie High School cafeteria. She loved cooking for her family on Sunday afternoons and was famous for her homemade yeast rolls. Her family looked forward to her Christmas dinner every year, when her and her husband always cooked a steak and shrimp meal. She never forgot a grandchild’s birthday and always sent them a birthday card and make a homemade cookie cake. She loved showing her love through her cooking. She and her husband loved canning and always had a big garden and always enjoyed giving away their vegetables every year. She had an infectious smile and a deep love for her God and her family.
