Mary Joyce Hughes, 85, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 5, 1937, to Lelon and Mamie Palmer Pierce. She worked at Goodyear in North Chicago, Fulton Junior High Cafeteria, and True Temper in Amory, where she retired from. She was a member of the Tilden Church of Christ. She enjoyed yard sales and senior citizen days.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Minister Jeff Bates officiating. Burial will be in the New Home Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Kelby Hughes (Kay), and Gary Hughes (Sandy), both of Fulton; one brother, Jerry Pierce (Silvia) of Smithville; one sister, Eva Thomas of Fulton; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Karl Dale Hughes; two brothers, Lewis Pierce and Jake Pierce; two sisters, Thelma Scates and Elsie Spencer; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Chastain Hughes, Chad Hughes, Andrew Paden, Brad Pierce, Mike Pierce, and Tim Alsup.

Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until service time at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
