Mary Sue Riddle Griffus, 91, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born June 16, 1931, in Alabama, to Archie and Cora Sartain Riddle. She enjoyed cooking and crossword puzzles, but mostly loved her family and spending time with them.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. John Griffus officiating. Burial will be in the Center Star Cemetery.

Survivors include three children, Bud Griffus (Jackie), Diane Baggett (Billy), both of Baldwyn, and Fannie Heatherly (Leon) of Mantachie; one sister, Dixie Strickland of Russellville, AL; five grandchildren, Perry Heatherly (Jennifer) of Belmont, Chris Heatherly (Tracy) of Dorsey, Anthony Rogers (Rebecca) of Mantachie, Billie Ann King (David) of Baldwyn, and Cynthia Herring (Terry ) of Amory; ten great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Griffus, who died in 1996; one daughter, Linda Rogers; four sisters, Ruby Reynolds, Jewel Kemp, Betty Harbin, and Dorothy Reynolds; three brothers, James Riddle, Hollis Riddle, and Thomas Riddle; and her parents.

Visitation will be Monday, August 1, from 5:00 -8:00 p.m., at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
