Mary Jennett Forthman, 83, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born on February 5, 1943, to James Atness Warren and Mary Anniss Spencer. She was a graduate of Mantachie High School and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Jennett was a homemaker most of her life. She loved puzzles, but her biggest joy came from cooking for her family and friends.

Services will be on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Jason Forthman officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Forthman of Mantachie; two sons, Keith Ekenseair (Tammy) of Greensboro, GA, and Jason Forthman (Brandi) of Greenfield, Indiana; her daughter, Angie Diess of Willis, TX; two brothers, James Warren and Johnny Maxey both from the Ozark Community; two sisters, Barbara Nunley and Billie Cantrell, both of Mantachie, MS; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Carl Forthman ; one sister, Yvonne Johnson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 1:30 PM – service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
