Lynn Schmidt Leech, 70, was welcomed into the Gates of Heaven by her husband, Bobby, and her son, Michael, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, after she passed away at the Baptist Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit in Oxford, surrounded by her family. She was born September 17, 1954, in Port Huron, Michigan, to Ernie and Carolyn Lawler Schmidt. She was a Direct Care Worker and had worked at Glendale and Rosedale Homes in Fulton for several years, along with baby sitting and working at Wal-Mart years ago. She was a beloved member of Believers Baptist Church. Lynn enjoyed crocheting, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at Believers Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.  McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

She is survived by one son, James Leech (Melissa); one daughter, Kisha Stephenson; and five grandchildren, Grant Stephenson, Abby Stephenson, Megan Leech, Preston Leech, and Makenna Wilkerson; one sister, Susan Jones (Dwight); and one brother, John Schmidt (Dana).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Leech; one son, Michael Leech; two sister, Karen Osbirn and Peggy Walton; and her parents.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at the Believers Baptist Church.
