MANTACHIE - Lindon Edward Lollar, 87, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born February 8, 1939, in Itawamba County to Eddie F. and Pearl Johnson Lollar. He owned and operated Lollar's Little Star in Mantachie for a number of years. He was a devoted member of Mantachie Methodist Church where he served on various committees through the years and was active in Sunday school.  He was a member of the 1956 Grand Slam team at Mantachie and served as alderman for the Town of Mantachie for 17 years.  An avid Ole Miss Rebel fan, Lindon enjoyed mowing his yard, being involved in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities, and riding the young ones around on his gator.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the Mantachie Methodist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Goodwin, the Rev. Joe Coggins, and the Rev. Caleb Holder officiating.  Burial will be in the Center Star Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie is entrusted with arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Peters Lollar, whom he married in 1958; one son, Mike Lollar (Lana); one daughter, Sandy Bennett (Wayne); and one sister, Sue Lindsey, all of Mantachie; four grandchildren, Allison Jett (Bradley), Alex Lollar (Keri), Anna Bennett (fiancé T.J. Duncan), and Heath Lollar; five great-grandchildren, Ella and Jase Jett, Owen Lollar, and Ava and Adi Duncan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charlie Lollar, Junior Lollar, and Paul Lollar; and one sister, Jimmie Lou Jarrell.

Pallbearers will be Alex Lollar, Heath Lollar, Bradley Jett, T.J. Duncan, Ricky Lindsey, Bill Camp, Wayne Guin, and Terry Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the adult Sunday school class at Mantachie Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Mantachie Methodist Church.
