Linda Lanette Thompson Pollock, 78, died Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born December 27, 1940, in Mantachie to William Walter and Bertha Smith Cook. She was a member of the Eggville Church of Christ. She had worked at Mantachie Manufacturing, Rosato Manufacturing, and Lane Industries before her retirement. She enjoyed reading and listening to gospel music, and attending gospel music events. She also enjoyed looking at shoppers catalogs. She loved the Lord, and loved being around her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, February 24, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Terry Booker officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky Thompson (Brenda) of Fulton, and Tony Thompson of Mantachie; one daughter, Angie Rayburn (Ricky) of Mantachie; four grandchildren, Amanda Farris (Chris), Misty Thompson Farley (Haley), Dusty Thompson (Sam), and Josh Thompson; eight great grandchildren, Cameron Thompson; Landon and Aleah Farris; Kaylin, Karly, and Kady Thompson; and Addy and Ty Farley; several step-grandchildren, and other family members; a life- long friend and caregiver, Juanita Farrar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Pollock; two brothers, W.C. "Dub" Cook, and Hoyle Cook; one sister, Lillian Knight; one great granddaughter, Bailey Farris; one niece, Teressa Brown; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Ricky, Tony, Cameron, Dusty, and Josh Thompson; Donald and Bobby Carr; Landon Farris; Ricky Johnson; Ricky Rayburn; and Phil Rowan.
Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Andrew Kellum.
Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p. m. Saturday, and from 11:00 a. m. until service time on Sunday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House , P.O. Box 2177 , Tupelo, MS 38803.
