FULTON - Wilford Lamar Hughes, 82, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo.  He was born July 2, 1942, to Homer Dee and Priscilla Arvilla Roberts Hughes.

No public services will be held.  Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery.  McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his son, Jamar Weigel; two daughters, Patricia and Susie Hughes; several grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Trulove; and a host of cousins, including his caregiver, Sue Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Homer Edwin Hughes, James Earl Hughes, Virgil B. Hughes, Charles W. Hughes, and Hillman D. Hughes.
