MANTACHIE - Hildred Junior "Sarge" Moses, 88, died Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his home. He was born July 29, 1930, to Cecil Moses and Frances Ray Moses Shockley. He was retired from the U.S. Army after over 21 years of service. He loved watching television, being outside, and fishing.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Grady Davidson officiating. Burial will be in the Ozark Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Michael Moses (Shelia) of Selmer, TN; one brother, Audie Ray Shockley of Tupelo; two sisters, Ophelia Hicks of Thaxton and Sarah Ashcraft of Mantachie; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a special niece, Vicki Kennedy of Mantachie; and his friends at Bonanza, Marshall Cotton and staff.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ozell Moses; two daughters, Catherine Sparks and Rosemary Shelton; one grandson, Timothy Sparks; two brothers, Wyman Moses and William Moses; one sister, Jeanette Franks; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 11, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
