Juanita Sue Wood, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at her sons home in Fulton, MS. She was born January 3, 1941, in Rusk County, Texas, to Alford and Velma Ritter Frier. She was a long time member of the Bible Baptist Church in Overton, TX. She was a licensed vocational nurse for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting and crocheting.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Texas. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of all the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Turner Dewayne Wood of Henderson, TX, and Darren Keith Wood of Fulton; four grandchildren, Teresa Diane Wood Morgan, Shaun Lee Wood, April Gayle Wood Gordon, and Brandon Keith Wood; seven great grandchildren, Alondra Diane Morgan, Shane Lee Morgan, Chandler Keith Gordon, Macie Marie Gordon, Kenna Grace Wood, Emory Leigh Wood, and Grayson Lee Wood; one great -great grandchild, Oakley Rose Clayton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Earl Wood; one sister, Verdell North; and her parents.
