Joyce Dale Walker, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born April 11, 1942, to Travis and Lucille Murphy Smith. She later welcomed Burr Hathcock as her stepfather. She graduated from Smithville High School. She married Earl Walker on April 6, 1962. Joyce was known for her excellent cooking and spunkiness. She loved the Lord, feeding and watching the birds, listening to music, watching sports, playing games, and spending time with her family.

Private family services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include her three daughters, Deanna Ashcraft (David Eaton), Sherry Spencer, and Heather Redwood (Andy); six grandchildren, Jordan English (Matt), Sawyer Spencer (Bam), Bo Ashcraft (Addie), Katie Crim (Blaine), Sadler Spencer, and Parks Taylor; one great grandchild, Acelynn Spencer; a special aunt, Sible Hathcock; three brothers, Randy Hathcock, Andy Hathcock (Brenda), and Jeff Hathcock.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Earl Walker; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Randy Hathcock, Andy Hathcock, Jeff Hathcock, Matt English, Bo Ashcraft, and Parks Taylor.

Public visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
