MOOREVILLE - Joyce Marie Hester McKnight, 81, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at her home in Mooreville with her family by her side. She was born March 18, 1940, in Pontotoc, MS, the daughter of Oscar and Bessie Kidd. She was a member of Boguefala Baptist Church in Mooreville. She worked as a nurse's aide for over 30 years at the hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, reading her Bible, cleaning, and coloring.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. David Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Unity Cemetery near Saltillo.

Survivors include her daughters, Tawania Hester, Shelia Hakes (Doug), and Christy Moore (Mitch); her sons, Timothy Hester, Terry Hester, and Skippy Sappington; her grandkids, Shane Hester (Jade), Cy Hester, Gracie Hester, Alyssa Hester, Mindy Sappington, Cory Sappington, Crissa Sappington, Michael Paul Hester, Mason Hester, Madison Hester, Presley Hester, Kenndy Hester, Summer Kirk, and Emma and Sarah Grace; a special friend, Sharron Guin; and a host of great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Elkin Hester, and two sons, Teddy and Kenny Hester.

Pallbearers will be Cy Hester, Shane Hester, Logan Hester, Cory Sappington, Destin Taylor, and Terry Maxcy.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
