SALTILLO - Johnny Luther Works, 61, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at his home in Saltillo. He was born April 4, 1960, in Rhode Island to Richard A. Works, Sr., and Peggy Adams Works. He loved spending time with his granddaughter; she was his world. Also, he liked talking daily on the phone with his brother. He loved to watch football on Saturdays and talk sports with anyone who would listen.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Toby Mears officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Ridge Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Peggy Works Thompson, and his granddaughter, Rylan Works; his brother, Dickie Works (Shelia); his sister, Cindy Turner; a half-sister, Kristy Tootle; three nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Rea "Patti" Roberts Works, in 2020; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Tim Gillespie, Kirkland Rhodes, Wes Smith, and Christopher Smith.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
