John Richard "Ricky" McMillen, 72, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Diversicare in Tupelo. He was born May 27, 1950, to John Garland Sherlon McMillen and Willie Lee Jones McMillen. He was raised in the Peaceful Valley community before settling in Dorsey. He was a family man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, talking politics and religion.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the McMillen family plot cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Lucas McMillen of Dorsey; two daughters, Jennifer McMillen of Dorsey and Stephanie Hayse (Benjamin) of Mooreville; three brothers, Frank McMillen, Eddie "Mack" McMillen, and David "Doc" McMillen; six grandchildren, Jessica McMillen, Jacob Wigginton, Blake Wigginton, Matthew McMillen, Cole Hayse, and Chase Hayse; and four great-grandchildren, Aurora Gibson, Jack Gibson, Weston Gibson and Peyton Gibson.

He was preceded in death by one half-brother, Melton "Met" Creekmore; and his parents.

Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
