Elvis Jimmy Johnson, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at his home. He was born March 28, 1942, to Willie and Cora Kelton Johnson. He traded chickens, sold eggs, and vegetables out of his garden the past few years. He was a preacher of the gospel, who demonstrated amazing amounts of Faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery in Pleasant Site, Alabama.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Nicole Johnson; two grandsons, Lane Johnson and Aiden Johnson, all of Mantachie; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Cockrell Johnson; one son, Jerry Lee Johnson; six brothers, Jake, Melvin, Tulon, Alton, Tommy, and Johnny Johnson; three sisters, Reba Ewing, Vetress Porter, and Jeanette Oaks; and his parents.

Visitation will on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
