MANTACHIE - Jerry Thomas Barnes, 57, died Friday, May 15, 2020, at his home in Mantachie. He was born July 29, 1962, in Fulton to Bro. Z.I. and Martha George Barnes. He retired from selling and installing fencing for Silver Dollar Fence and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He loved the woods and hunting.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Scot George officiating.

Survivors include one brother, Oscar Barnes and wife Becky of Starkville; a sister-in-law, Linda Barnes of Mantachie; a brother-in-law, Darrell Rayburn of Fulton; and nephews and nieces, Brian Barnes, Kelly Barnes, Krystal Tucker, Donna Roberts, and Kevin Barnes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Zee Barnes, Jr.; and one sister, Clara Rayburn.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of his hunting friends.
