Jason Michael Franks, 49, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his home in Ballardsville. He was born June 25, 1976, to Coy Michael and Janis Ann Franks. He loved spending time with those closest to him, especially his nieces and nephew as they were exceptionally close to him. His family always came first. He was a hard worker who took pride in his work. He had a deep love for his dogs, who were part of his family and brought him joy and companionship. He loved attending concerts, listening to music, and spending time at car shows. He admired classic cars. He will be remembered for his kindness, and the love he gave to his family, friends, and dogs.

Services will be private. Burial will be in the Fawn Grove Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one brother, Justin Franks (Tifphanie) of Mooreville; two nieces, Nela Franks and Petra Franks; one nephew, Liam Franks; his grandmother, Juanita Weathers Franks Knight; three uncles, Perry Franks (Sharon), Dwayne Westmoreland (Sharron), and Gene Johnson (Kathy); a special cousin, April Hood (Jonathan).

He was preceded in death by one niece, Paris Franks; his parents; his grandparents, Coylen Franks and Tom and Ann Witt; and a step-grandfather, J.T. Knight.
