MANTACHIE – Beverly Jane McDonald, 80, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit after an extended illness. She was born February 17, 1946, in Lee County to Chester Lee and Elizabeth Towery Bates.  Jane retired as an inspector at Reed's Manufacturing after 32 years. She was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church and loved sewing, flowers and gardening, and shopping. Her greatest delight was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, at the Lakeland Baptist Church with Bro. David "E.T." Turner officiating.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.  McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Tommy McDonald (Melissa); her daughter, Tammy McCarthy (Scotty); and her best friend, Betty Perry, all of Mantachie; three grandchildren, Ben McCarthy (Briana), Madison Dill (T.J.), and Tyler McDonald; and five great-grandchildren, Chance, Audrey, Brinkley, Berkley, and Fletcher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne McDonald; her parents; one brother, G.W. Pratt; and three sisters, Mildred Johnson, Louise Smith, and Christine Whitt.
