Fairview- James "Jim" Lawrence Williams, 94, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his daughter's home. He was born January 20, 1932, in Fairview, MS, to Forrest and Pearlie Waddle Williams. He was a construction worker, iron worker, and farmer most all his life. He enjoyed cattle farming, fishing, and deer hunting with his dogs. He was a hard worker and enjoyed taking care of and being around his family.

Services will be announced in upcoming days by McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton, MS.

Survivors include two sons, Worth Williams (Dorota) of Brandon, and Forrest Wade Walker Williams (Charlene) of Fairview; one daughter, Holliday Lynn Ruffin (Joseph) of Fairview; one sister, Virginia Sheffield (Billy) of Fairview; six grandchildren, Seth James Williams, Natalie Elizabeth Williams, Nathan Forrest Ruffin, Joleigh Williams, Jude Williams, and Jace Shelby Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Lynn Williams; five brothers, Charles Allen Williams, Charles Ford Williams, Cherry Williams, Carson Williams, and John Williams; five sisters, Rena Gray, Exie Cromeans-Reeves, Juanita Ashley, Maylene Clayton, and Alene Hubbard; and his parents.
