James Leo “Jim” Grant III, 64, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at his residence in Tremont. He was born April 9, 1962, in Milford, Delaware, to James Leo and Verona Smith Grant. He worked in the furniture industry for several years. He was a good mechanic and handyman.

Services will be private. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Grant of Tremont; four daughters, Penny Grant and Tiffany Grant, both of New Albany and Amanda Grant and Amber Grant, both of Delaware; one sister, Melissa Grant of Maryland; his fiancé, Barbara Jones of Tremont; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
