James Hopkins Booker, Jr., 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his home in Huntsville, AL. He was born October 27, 1937, in Queenstown, Maryland, to James Hopkins and Blanche Moore Booker, Sr. He was retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, after serving his country for thirty years. He was a Deacon at East Huntsville Baptist Church. Her enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching college football, especially the University of Nebraska.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Walt Grayson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Linda Grayson Booker; three sons, James H. Booker III (Lanae) of Salem, OR, David Booker (Diane) of Lincoln, NE, and Scott Booker (Christy) of Columbia City, IN; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sister5, Matilda Combs, Audrey Stanert, and Jane Schelberg; one grandson, Zachary Patrick Booker; and his parents.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
