FULTON - Jackie K. McDonald, 69, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born January 5, 1956, in Meridian to L.D. and Doris Stokes McDonald. He worked as a supervisor for Weyerhaeuser and Mueller Industries before becoming disabled in 2002. He was a M.P. in the U.S. Marines and was the founder of Clay Hills Kennels, which later became State Line Kennels. He was a member of the Marion County Beagle Club.

Known to some as a great houndsman, Jackie enjoyed spending his time running his dogs, going to field trials and skeet shoots, and hosting crawfish boils. In his family, he was known for his famous spaghetti and chili, but mostly his mouth-burning, well-seasoned crawfish boils! Deep down below his "tough-man exterior," Jackie had one of the biggest hearts. He would host fundraisers of all kinds for those in need and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone. He was a family man who loved his wife, Martha, more than anything in this world. She was his very best friend. He was a wonderful grandpa to all his grand and great grandchildren, and his favorite thing to do was picking on them.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Bobby Humphres officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Coy Cemetery in Neshoba County.

He is survived by his wife, Martha McDonald; his son, Josh McDonald (Lindsay) and daughter, Sheena White (Chad), both of Philadelphia; his stepson Jimmy Vines (Lisa) and stepdaughter Stacey Ritch (Todd), both of Fulton; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; his stepmother, Susan McDonald, and stepsister, Michelle Copeland (Joey), both of Preston; a special friend, Bobby Childers; and his fur baby Minnie Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. McDonald and Doris Stokes Haberle; and sisters, Mary Lynn McDonald and Tammy Jones.

Pallbearers will be Corey Timms, Trenton Timms, Jimmy Vines, Eli Vines, Todd Ritch, and Bobby Childers.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time Tuesday, May 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
