Obituary

Grover J. Parmer, 87, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born January 24, 1938, in Hamilton, AL, to Grady and Ethel Feltman Parmer. He was a member and deacon at Fulton Free Will Baptist Church. He worked at Dura Containers in Fulton for many years, and later at Super Sagless in Tupelo where he retired from. Grover had a great love for Southern Gospel music. In his earlier years he sang in a gospel quartet. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, at the outdoors.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brandon Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Doris Jarrell Parmer; two children, Angela McGee (Dwight) and Tim Parmer (Penny), all of Fulton; one granddaughter, Jenna McGee Nassar (Matt); two great grandchildren, Presleigh Nassar and Harlee Kate Nassar, all of Madison; one brother, Winford Parmer (Joan) of Selma, AL; two sisters, Gladys Mann and Imarie Hughes, both of Tupelo; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bro. Wexford Parmer and T.G. Parmer; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Fulton Free Will Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fulton Free Will Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
