Gary Mitchell 'Mitch' Reed, Jr., 59, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at his home in Golden. He was born May 18, 1961, in Hamilton, Alabama, to Gary Mitchell and Barbara Allen Kyle Reed. He was a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed picking, collecting, and trading. He was a wheeler and dealer. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren.

Services will be private.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Reed and Jason Reed; two brothers, Mike Smith and Jim Jones; three sisters, Kathy Lolley, Janet Collins, and Sabrina Dulaney; three grandchildren, Breonna Reed, Katelyn Reed, and Jamie Dale Reed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Brenda Joyce Reed, who died in 2017; his father, Gary Mitchel Reed, Sr.; his mother, Barbara Kyle Tackett; his step father, James Jones.
