Douglas Wayne "Doug" Waddle, 77, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Courtyards Community Living Center. He was born November 22, 1945, in Louisiana, to George Freeman and Alsie Johnson Waddle. He was a sawmiller and logger most all his life, working at Mid-America Hardwood and logging with his brother, Hubert Johnson. He was an avid fisherman.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Lloyd Minor officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Lyn Fikes (Jason) of Fulton; five sisters, Peggy Stanford (Kevin) of Saltillo, Linda Gail Palmer (Charles) of Marietta, Marilyn Collier, Judy McCracken, and Joann Stanford, all of Fulton; four grandchildren, Austin Dill (Brittany), Zachary Dill (Destiny), Hunter Fikes, and Carson Fikes; one great granddaughter, Riley Dill.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan Waddle and Hubert Johnson; two sisters, Betty Johnson and Polly Robbins; and his parents.

Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
