FULTON - Dorothy Alice Grimes, 90, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. She was born December 11, 1935, in Itawamba County to William Thelma and Lula Alma Camp Little. She worked in payroll and insurance at Blue Bell and Reed’s Manufacturing. She was a long-time member of Greenwood Baptist Church where she enjoyed being actively involved when her health permitted. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and listening to bluegrass music.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 7, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Bain officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Royce Grimes; her son, Danny Royce Grimes (Crystal) of Dorsey; and two grandchildren, Melissa Denise Grimes, of Starkville, and James Christopher “Chris” Grimes, of Tupelo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
