Donald Lee "Donnie" Cockrell, 68, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born February 5, 1955, to Bonnie and Olene Spradling Cockrell. He was a truck driver for most all his life and worked at Kitchens Farms. He enjoyed his once a month hauling trip with his special friend, Danny Marcy, to the Amish country. He enjoyed racing, especially lately with go carts, with his children and grandchildren.

Private Grave -Side Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, at the Stephens Cemetery with Bro. Douglas Kitchens officiating. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his children, Bradley Smith (Ramona), Michelle Allred (Steve), Shannon Harbin, Sonya Johnson (Delton), and Tonya Foster (Chris), all of Mantachie; 16 grandchildren, Corey Smith (Tori), Lonnie Smith, Joseph Smith, Ashley Allred, Jessica Allred, Reed Allred, Chloe Allred, Michael Harbin, Brittney Harbin, Caid Harbin, Olivia Harbin, Luke Johnson, Bryson Johnson, Annsleigh Justice, Brooklyn Foster and John Colin Foster; 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Cockrell; one son, Colin Cockrell; one brother, Jimmy Cockrell; and his parents.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Tuesday (Today) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie.
