Obituary

Charles "Wayne" Blaylock, 72, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born October 12, 1953, to BM and Vernie Peoples Blaylock. He was a Baptist. He worked many years in maintenance for the City of Tupelo. He loved wrestling and his family.


Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Ricky Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Center Star Cemetery.


Survivors include three sons, Christopher Blaylock of Guntown, Joshua Blaylock and Tony Dabbs, both of Tupelo; three sisters, Barbara Reynolds and Wanda Dill, both of Mantachie, and Peggy Bailey of Myrtle; one brother, Billy Blaylock (Fay) of Tupelo; 12 grandchildren; one sister-in-law, JoAnne Blaylock; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.


He was preceded in death by four brothers, Douglas "Dolly" Blaylock, Bobby Joe Blaylock, Ray Blaylock, and Olen Blaylock; one sister, Faye Blaylock; one brother-in-law, Dale Reynolds; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Blaylock; and his parents.


Pallbearers will be Hunter Dabbs, Dakota Dabbs, Hunter Bentley, Jason Bailey, Caden Smith, David Kemp, and Jon Campbell.


Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
