FULTON - Virginia Anne Bennett, 71, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit in Tupelo. She was born July 30, 1953, to James Byers and Dorothy Hargett Byers Mabus. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker, or as she put it, the "household engineer." She graduated from Tremont High School and was an exceptional artist who won many awards in national art shows. Anne taught at the Art Alliance when she lived in Fort Myers, Florida.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Gary Guth officiating. Burial will be in the East Fulton Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joe Bennett, Jr., of Fulton; one son, Ruel Bennett III of Fulton; three daughters, Emily Velvet Denault (Jeff) of Worden, IL, Rachel Collman (Michael) of Breese, IL, and Madeline Bennett of Fulton; one sister, Brenda Hendrix (Ricky) of Nettleton; eight grandchildren, Jacob Denault, Ethan Denault, Summer Rose Denault, Summer Michelle Collman, Mikey Collman, Dominic Collman, Lori Jane Collman, and Lilly Anne Collman; and two great-grandchildren, Astraea and Boraeas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kim Sandlin; and an infant sister.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
