Obituary

Adene Cauthern Miles, 99, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born November 24, 1926, to Willie Marshall and Villie Rankin Cauthern. She was the oldest member of Trinity Baptist Church. In her working years, she worked at JESCO, Crestline Furniture and later in the banking industry in Fulton. In her earlier years, she sang with the Sweet Adelines and was a member of the Fulton Garden Club. She enjoyed playing canasta and bunko, and cooking for her family.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Mark Robbins officiating. Burial will be in the Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one son, Donald Wayne Miles (Carolyn) of Fulton; one granddaughter, Allison Greer (Dr. Tim); one great grandson, Hunter Greer; one great granddaughter, Sophia Grace Greer, all of Murfreesboro, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Wayne Miles; one sister, Ruth Helen Umfress; one brother, Jimmy Cauthern; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Presley Wallace, Larry Pate, Gerald Wallace, Jimmie Wilson, Bob Gordon, and Lynn Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Tim Greer and Hunter Greer.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
