Adam Shane Umfress, 44, passed away om Monday, June 26, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center hospice unit. He was born July 4, 1978, in Amory, MS, to Melvin Don and Sharon McAlister Umfress. He enjoyed playing video games, building computers, and racing remote control cars.

Services will be announced at a later date. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon McAlister of Mantachie; one sister, Tiffany Johnson (Shannon Timms) of Dorsey; three nephews, Logan Smith, Parker Smith, Zachary Johnson (Shelby); one niece, Mekenzie Johnson (James West); his uncle, Larry McAlister.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Donise Smith; and his father.
