Aaron Lee Loden passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1948, in Itawamba County, to the late Glen Clayton Loden and Velda Mae Wilburn Loden. Aaron served honorably in the US Army and had a diverse career as a businessman and in local government, serving as the Itawamba County Tax Collector. Alongside his wife Susan, Aaron ran Fulton Skateland for over 25 years, where they loved getting to know the people in the community and watching the local kids grow up. He was passionate about working on his farm and nurturing thoroughbred horses to become future racers. Known for his keen eye for spotting a deal, he enjoyed studying pedigrees and spending time at the track, a passion that brought him immense joy throughout his life. A born-again Christian, Aaron served as a deacon for Big Oak Baptist Church in Fulton, MS, and later attended Gum Tree Presbyterian Church in Tupelo, MS.

Funeral services to celebrate Aaron's life will be held at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 401 S. Cummings St., Fulton, MS 38843, on Tuesday, July 9, with visitation from noon to 2 p.m. and the service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.

Aaron is survived by his sister, Margaret Spigner; his daughter, Kayla Potts; his son, Clayton Loden; his son-in-law, Adam Potts; and his cherished grandchildren, Maddox, Zane, Micah, and Zion Potts.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan Loden, and his brothers, Glen Allen (Dude), William, and Larry; and his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Regional Rehabilitation Center, 615 Pegram Drive, Tupelo, MS 38801.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Beyer, Mike Buse, Bobby Howery, Jesus Ayala, Jeff Wilburn, and Stephen Wardlaw.

Aaron's legacy of love, service, and passion for life and others will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Aaron. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
